Twenty-five years married to Ron, mother of Matthijs, Jesse and Nino, and a Texel islander through and through. My motto is enjoy today — and really, everything starts there.

€ 825, including all conversations and the written speech. A German-language ceremony is € 125 extra. Travel costs and any municipal fees come on top of that.
Yes. Almost every Dutch municipality offers the ‘registrar for a day’ arrangement. I take care of the swearing-in; alongside the municipal fees you will receive my invoice.
Dutch, German and English. A bilingual ceremony is possible too — many couples choose that when the family comes from two countries.
Six to twelve months is common, but always ask. Sometimes there is room in three weeks.
Then there is a plan B, which we work out together well in advance. Texel weather holds no surprises for me.
